SVG file attached.You can also reposition your text box by using the selection tool and dragging the object. It was working fine before and maybe I unknowingly fat-fingered something. I can't figure out what is causing the offset. Instead, the text does follow the shape of the circle but it is placed far to the left and below the circle rather than on it. 4) I select Text > Put on Path, expecting the text to move to the outside of the circle as usual. 3) Using the selection tool I select the text then shift-click to select the circle. 2) Using the text tool I type a line of text. I've followed a few tutorials and essentially most of them say do do these steps: 1) I make a circle, reduce opacity of the fill and remove color from the stroke and move it to the bottom layer. These steps worked for me last week when I was following some tutorials but now while working on a new project for a client, things have gotten strange with how the text is suddenly offset a great deal to the left and below the circle that I am using for a path.
